Game Development. And some more :)
feat. a squishy Kirbo I made
My name is Grimm, and I'm a Junior Gameplay Designer with a focus on System and Feature Design. I strive to be an all-rounder of Game Development with skills as a System Designer, Team Player & Manager, and some Prototyping and (Tech-) Art know-how as well.
I was born and still live in Berlin. I thoroughly enjoy working with people, especially on creative projects - not just to make my own vision reality, but to support people refine and realize theirs.
This mix of collaborative teamwork and the need to have a vast knowledge of, or the ability to learn about many different things that will always help with Game Development, lead me to the S4G School for Games Berlin where I decided to study Game Design with an extra focus on Production and Team Management.
I'm also very interested in the visual development of games and I can enjoy the benefits of my art skills by having a greater overview about the Game's development than if I exclusively focused on Game Design.
Game Development & Project Management
Feature Design & Documentation
My main topics are Feature and Gameplay Design. While I do love to bring my own ideas to a project, I especially like to iterate on, to refine, and to add onto pieces of a project.

I have experience in Vision Keeping, Lead Design and Feature Design, and I can confidently communicate these ideas to the team in meetings and through presentations, and Design Documents like FDDs, GDDs, and One-Pagers.
Engine Work & Support
Interdisciplinary tasks are something I thrive in. I'm able to teach myself something new in a short amount of time to support the rest of the team, to make a new idea reality, or to fill tight spots in a project.
I'm comfortable working in any engine and I can switch focus quickly and effectively if needed.

My current experiences are mainly in Unity but I've worked with Godot as well and know the very basics of Unreal Engine.
Team Management & Production
Agile Team and Product management - SCRUM, Kanban
I am familiar with SCRUM roles and artifacts and like to use a Kanban and Sprint boards for further organizing

We used a mix of SCRUM and Kanban for the student projects and distributed the roles differently. As the producer, I took on the role of both the SCRUM master and Product Owner, but Vision Keeping was a separate role which I then took on during a different project.
Creative Work
Narrative Design
Again, I have a passion for creative work, either from the ground up or building upon existing work.
I love Narrative Design, both through Environmental Storytelling or as written out dialogue and lore.
Illustration & Concept Design
My personal hobby is art, especially illustrations and character & prop design and I love to make use of that for Game Development. I think very visually so making a few storyboard sketches can help me get a picture of a design or mechanic. I also make use of it to communicate ideas so my documentation might be a bit more colorful than usual :D
